Tri-State Painting Co. is proud to say it is a family owned and operated painting company. This business was started in 1961 by Charlie and KewBee McDonald. After Mr. McDonald passed away in 1992, Mrs. KewBee McDonald became the sole owner of Tri-State Painting. This has allowed Tri-State to hold both its Indiana and National status as a Woman Owned Business Enterprise. In 1998 Mrs. McDonald gave partial control to her 3 sons who assist her with managing the daily operation of the business. In 2005 a third generation of McDonald family came on board.
Tri-State Painting is also very proud of the workforce it employs. Tri-State is very hands-on with the painter's apprenticeship program. Many of our field employees have been with us through their apprenticeship and have continued on for 20 plus years. Tri-State Painting has an experience mod rate of 0.76 for the year 2009. Each of our employees participates in the union drug and alcohol program. Tri-State Painting also performs regular background checks on it employees.
Tri-State Painting specializes in commerical and industrial coatings. We range from the highly decorative jobs with complex aesthetic appeal to the most specialized industrial coatings. Along with painting we have a complete department dedicated to floor coatings and the protection of concrete floors.
